I am a computer science student at the University of Southern Mississippi, graduating in May 2027. I write, I code, I do research, and I build things. Now and then I write about something that has nothing to do with computer science.

What I study and work on

My research interest is efficient and robust machine learning for resource-constrained sensing systems: edge and TinyML inference, adaptive computation, and learning from noisy multimodal sensor data such as acoustic, sonar and EEG signals. A second interest is the privacy and verifiability of learned systems.

Right now that means EEG security research at the SPEN Lab with Dr. Ahmed Sherif, and a sonar imagery project with Dr. Ahmed Sherif and Dr. Jose Martinez Cruz. Before that I did the CRA UR2PhD research program, and I led a small team that presented a TinyML poster at the university’s undergraduate symposium.

On the software side I have built iOS apps in Swift at the Apple Development Lab, a retrieval-augmented helpdesk prototype with the Mississippi AI Innovation Hub, and a range of web, mobile and machine-learning projects. They are collected on the projects page.

Why this site

This is where the writing, the code and the research live together. Some of the writing is about technical things I am learning, some is about research and university life, and some is just thinking out loud. Some of it may be in Bangla.

Outside of coursework I am president of the Bangladeshi Student Association at USM.
